Shannon Sharpe’s $20 million defamation lawsuit filed by Jima-lita Tillman has been dismissed.
Tillman had sued Sharpe, Chad Johnson, Christian Dear, and Sharpe’s company over false statements about her marital status linked to a viral Usher clip.
Tillman expressed relief over the dismissal, noting the matter was resolved without a lengthy court battle. She had accused Sharpe and Johnson of spreading a false narrative to millions and claimed her requests to remove it were ignored.
The case’s dismissal comes amid Sharpe’s recent troubles, including ESPN cutting ties with him shortly after he settled a civil sexual assault lawsuit, ending prospects of a rumored $100 million contract.
