Jamaican singer Shaggy excited to be a part of the Live-Action performance of the Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Shaggy shared his gratitude to US TV network ABC and Disney.

“Excited to be a part of it!! Thanx to the guys at ABC networks and the wonderful world of Disney for the opportunity!”

ABC had previously postponed the live concert celebrating the show. It was originally planned to be done in 2017, but according to USA Today, ABC postponed it due to financial constraints. Now, in November, it will bring the much-loved characters to screens as part of The Wonderful World of Disney collection. Disney’s Moana star Auli’i Cravalho will voice the underwater princess and will have Shaggy as her crabby best mate Sebastian as she ponders life on land. Queen Latifah will be playing the villainous Ursula, who offers her dream at a cost. Performed in front of a live studio audience, The Wonderful World of Disney: The Little Mermaid will be incorporating sets from the Broadway version of the show as well as costumes, plus music from the original film.
