The Medical Association of Jamaica MAJ is reporting that several doctors are out sick due to COVID-19.
In recent days Jamaica has been recording over 1000 daily cases.
Hospitalizations also continue to increase.
MAJ President Dr. Brian James said almost all of the country’s hospitals are affected.
At the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital, some 40 workers including medical doctors are out due to COVID-19.
There has also been an increase in persons showing up with respiratory issues.
