The Southern Regional Health Authority, has appealed for persons to exercise caution, when carrying out pranks that could result in them requiring medical intervention.
The call follows a recent incident, during which a young man's hands were glued to the steering wheel of his car.
He required medical intervention and several hospital staff members attended to the situation.
In a statement, the regional health authority said the health system is already facing immense pressure and pranks which result in medical emergencies, place an additional burden on staff members and the sector's resources.
The authority is also appealing to people to desist from videoing healthcare workers and clients, in public health spaces, without their consent, as its an unlawful act.
This it said was also done as part of the prank and uploaded to social media.
