Sergio Aguero of Barcelona has been ruled out for three months following a cardiac exam, the Spanish club announced on Monday.
After receiving treatment for several minutes during the La Liga game at the Nou Camp, the 33-year-old striker was taken off before halftime.
After leaving the scene in an ambulance, he was taken to the hospital for precautionary cardiac tests.
Manchester City, Aguero’s former club, sent a message of support and best wishes, as did former teammate Raheem Sterling.
