Streaming site Netflix announced on October 6 that they will release the long waited Selena drama docu series about Tejano  music legend, Latin Pop singer Selena Quintanilla, which will premiere December 4.

The date announcement was made via Netflix’s Latinx social media arm Con Todo. In a tweet with the message “Every Legend Begins With a Dream,” the premiere date was announced and a teaser trailer and poster art released.

Christian Serratos stars as Selena, Gabriel Chavarria as her brother. This comes almost 24 years after the movie ‘Selena’ was released (1997), played that time by Jennifer Lopez.

The ‘Dreaming Of You’ singer came to the spotlight as one of the best selling Latin entertainers of the 1990’s. She won a Grammy for best Mexican/American Album back in 1994. however in 1995 her life ended at the age of 23 when she was shot and killed by former fan club president.
