SECURITY MINISTER MET FAMILIES AFFECTED BY FOOTBALL MATCH SHOOTING

Minister of National Security Dr. Horace Chang today met with grieving family members of the three people who were killed in Spring Village, St. Catherine on Sunday.

The Minister was accompanied by Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson, and other members of the police high command.

The visit followed Sunday’s attack by gunmen on persons attending a football match. Three people died, and six others were wounded.

Speaking with members of the Spring Village community, Dr. Chang acknowledged, that the event was a traumatic one while noting that the police are working to find the criminals involved.

The Minister underscored that more resources are being provided to the police, to ensure that they can work with community members.

Meanwhile, for his part, Commissioner Anderson said finding the perpetrators of Sunday’s mass shooting, is at the top, of his priority list.
