Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel is set to make his long-awaited return to the US stage with a concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 11.
However, fans have expressed disappointment over the high ticket prices, which range from $180 to $2,000 USD, arguing that they should have been more affordable given the current economic climate.
Despite the criticism, demand remains high, leading organizers to add a second show on April 12.
This marks Kartel’s first US performance in over 20 years and his first since being released from prison in July 2024.
Since his release, Kartel has been making waves in the industry, attending major events like the 2025 Grammy Awards and the MOBO Awards, where he received the Impact Award.
He is also set to perform at London’s Wireless Festival on July 13, alongside Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Summer Walker, and Burna Boy.
