The search continues today for an 11-year-old Westmoreland boy who washed away yesterday in inclement weather.
Poor visibility yesterday put a stop to rescue efforts for the grade-5 student, by community members and security forces.
According to reports, the boy was making his way home after his 2:30pm school dismissal, when he fell in a gutter and was swept out to sea.
The Jamaica Defense Force's aerial assets have also been deployed to enhance the search. The Ministry of Education is expected to provide counselling support for the school community today.
