In honor of the impending arrival of her seventh studio album ‘Renaissance’, which comes out this Friday, July 29th, Rolling Stone Magazine has compiled and ranked 70 of Beyonce’s greatest tracks as a solo artist.
Making the cut are her collaborations with dancehall artists Mr. Vegas and Sean Paul.
‘Standing In the Sun’ (remix) featuring Mr. Vegas Comes in at number 70.
Rolling Stone notes that the original version of the song was largely unknown “until Mrs. Knowles-Carter teamed up with H&M for a summer collection”, and she released an extended version of the song which featured Mr. Vegas.
Coming in at number 34 is Beyoncé and Sean Paul’s ‘Baby Boy’. According to Rolling Stone, ‘Baby Boy’ was made as a follow up to her ‘Crazy In Love’ hit.
Beyonce enlisted Sean Paul, who flew to Miami to record his vocals after Beyonce sent him a demo track of the song’s reggae-raga rhythm. ‘Baby Boy’ is Beys second number one song.
