At least 22 people, including two children, were killed and more than 100 injured in a large-scale Russian missile and drone attack across Ukraine overnight.

The deadliest strikes were reported in Dnipro, where 16 people died, while six others were killed in Kyiv.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said civilian infrastructure and energy facilities were targeted and renewed calls for additional Patriot missile systems.

Russia said the attacks were a response to previous Ukrainian strikes and claimed all intended military objectives were successfully hit.
