Ricky Hill, a former England international, says he was surprised by reports linking him to the Reggae Boyz’s head coaching position.

After the Jamaica Football Federation JFF called a meeting on Wednesday, there was widespread speculation that Coach Theodore “Tappa” Whitmore had been fired and Ricky Hill would take his place.

JFF President Michael Ricketts quickly dismissed reports that Whitmore had been fired and would be replaced by Hill.
The former Luton Town star admitted he was aware of the rumours and attempted to distance himself from the affair yesterday. He went on to say that he was completely unaware of any validity to the speculation and would never want his name associated with it.
