Reggae Sumfest viewership topped three million views during their virtual showcase. Reggae Sumfest was forced to move its annual show to a virtual format due to the coronavirus pandemic. The show attracted hundreds of thousands of views across streaming platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Executive producer, chairman and CEO Joe Bogdanovich of Downsound entertainment stated that the revised format was achieved in just three weeks using an all Jamaican team, he says, “the cost of this bold venture was large but we felt this was an investment we needed to make to keep our festival relevant and to promote Jamaican music and culture”. Over the July 24-26 weekend, the estimated viewing was between 3.4 million and 3.8 million, additionally, the Reggae Sumfest YouTube channel gained 18,000 new subscribers and the Instagram page got over 47.000 new followers
