The Reggae Girls who qualified for the FIFA World Cup in France later this year continue to create history.

This after they won the concacaf outstanding performance of the year award yesterday (Tues) and walked away with the awards in four other categories.

The reggae girls in October last year became the first team from the English speaking Caribbean to achieve the milestone after beating Panama in a penalty shootout.

The Jamaican head coach Hue Menzies won the women’s football coach of the year accolade, while striker Khadijah ‘bunny’ Shaw was named the runner up in the female player of the year category, while her goal against Cuba in the 20th minute of the Concacaf women’s championship last year was named third best goal of the tournament.

Another reggae girl Jody Brown and Shaw were named to the Concacaf best female eleven, however no Jamaican was featured in the Concacaf male best eleven.
