Preparations are underway for a high-stakes World Cup qualifying play-off between Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz and the Democratic Republic of Congo national football team in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Both teams trained on Sunday as they gear up for Tuesday’s decisive clash, the first-ever meeting between the nations.
The winner will secure a spot in 2026 FIFA World Cup, joining Group K alongside Colombia, Portugal, and Uzbekistan.
Historically, Jamaica have struggled against African sides, with just two wins in 22 matches.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 pm Jamaica time.
