Reggae Boyz Crush Bermuda 4-0 to Reclaim Top Spot in Group B

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz strengthened their World Cup qualifying bid with a dominant 4-0 win over Bermuda last night (Tues) at the National Stadium.

After a frustrating start, the Reggae Boyz took the lead in the 24th minute when Bermuda’s captain, Dante Leverock, deflected the ball into his own net. Just two minutes later, Renaldo Cephas set up Bobby Reid to double Jamaica’s advantage. Cephas continued to shine, creating another goal in the 35th minute with a well placed cross that Shamar Nicholson finished from close range.

Substitute Dujuan 'Whisper' Richards later sealed the win in the 76th minute with a composed strike.

The result lifts Jamaica to the top of Group B with nine points, keeping their qualification hopes firmly on track. Bermuda’s loss eliminates them from contention, while Curaçao and Trinidad and Tobago sit second and third with eight and five points, respectively.
