For a few wild hours this week, the internet nearly lost it over rumours that Queen Latifah had passed — but thankfully, she was very much alive. The gossip spread like wildfire across social media, prompting the rapper and actor to step in… in her own calm, no-nonsense way.
Instead of a long press release, Latifah posted a short Instagram video. Sitting cool and collected in a vehicle, she greeted fans with: “Good morning, it’s me, Latifah. I’m 100% A-OK.” She shook her head at the absurdity of online misinformation, adding, “Can’t believe what you read on the internet or see. I’m good. Peace.”
