Puma has debuted its latest technological innovation, the auto-lacing Fit Intelligence (Fi) sneaker.

The first Fi style is a low-top designed for workouts and light running.

Its main feature is a micromotor placed on the tongue, which will power the shoe’s cable lacing system with a quick swipe up or down.

The smart lacing setup will mold uniquely to each wearer’s foot to give everyone their own personalized experience with the model.

Like Nike’s Adapt BB basketball sneaker, the fit will also be able to be adjusted through an accompanying smartphone app as well.

Expect the Puma Fit Intelligence to hit the market in 2020.

In the mean time, Puma is offering beta testing through its Pumatrac app.
