The Portland Police have charged two teenagers with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition, Using Premises to store a prohibited weapon and Stockpiling of Unauthorized Ammunition following a seizure in Buff Bay, in the parish, on Saturday, March 29.
The 14-year-old male and 15-year-old female are both of Buff Bay addresses.
Reports from the Buff Bay Police are that at about 8:00 a.m., lawmen carried out an intelligence operation at a business establishment in the area.
During a search of the premises, police say a Glock 17 pistol with sixty-six 9mm cartridges along with approximately JMD 28,000,000 were found and seized.
The two juveniles were apprehended and later charged following a question-and-answer session.
