Prime Minister Andrew Holness has defended the Government’s decision to have children return to face-to-face classes, explaining that they can no longer be shielded from COVID-19.
He was speaking today (January 5) at the National Day of Prayer at the Power of Faith Ministries in Portmore, St. Catherine.
Mr. Holness said some families cannot care for children without the support of schools.
He said the current situation cannot continue.
