Prime Minister Andrew Holness is among the many Jamaicans congratulating Miqueal Symone Williams who represented the country in the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday.
Via Twitter, 24-year-old Miqueal-Symone Williams in a Tweet expressed how grateful she is for the support.
The Miss Universe pageant crowned its winner last night, as dozens of international participants competed for the prestigious title.
Though Williams didn’t win the crown, she placed Jamaica in the top 10 along with Australia, Puerto Rico, Thailand, and Costa Rica.
The crown was won by Mexico’s Andrea Meza, while the first runner-up was Brazil, and Miss Peru was the second runner-up. Also in the top five were Dominican Republic and India.
