The Jamaica Public service company, JPS is reporting that normalcy has returned to customers who lost power due to the train derailment at the weekend as well as to those impacted later by the damage to the backup system.
In a release, JPS says all areas were restored last night (Sun).
The release said that on Saturday August 9, a Windalco train derailed in the Bog Walk Gorge, resulting in significant damage to JPS' power transmission and distribution network.
Its says several poles, spans of wire and other equipment were destroyed, causing outages in sections of St. Catherine and Kingston.
