Portmore United finally ended their winless streak in the 2024/25 Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Tivoli Gardens at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Monday night.
After going behind to a 40th-minute goal from 19-year-old Nickalia Fuller, Portmore responded just before halftime with a goal from Junior Grizzelle in the 45+1 minute.
The match-winner came from substitute Javier Brown, who scored a crucial goal in the 89th minute, sealing the much-needed victory for the St Catherine-based club after three challenging games. This win lifted the early-season pressure off Portmore United as they look to build momentum moving forward.
