Popcaan's long-awaited album Nothing Without God arrived today everywhere you get music.
The artiste commemorated the release with a vlog posted to his Instagram, set to the album's sixth track Climb Up, detailing his hurricane Melissa relief efforts in his home parish St Thomas, Montego Bay and Westmoreland, some of the most heavily impacted areas in Jamaica during the passage of last week's Category 5 storm.
In the caption, Popcaan apologizes to his fans for his recent silence around his relief efforts and new release, saying instead he's been spending time connecting with his community and trying to play his part. He wrote: To all my fans and peeps that been showing concern if I’m Good, I’m bless!...And those who saying I’m not helping anyone. The Popcaan Care Foundation has Been actively helping people for years now, not just because of Melissa but I won’t run to post and show everyone I help or Support...I love my community, I love my country, I love my people, I love my island!! And we will get through this together"
Nothing without God is Popcaan's 6th studio album and follows Great Is He, released in 2023. The album, in 14 tracks, takes listeners through a soulful journey of Popcaan's faith and the importance of relationships with his family and himself, featuring just two artistes: his cousin, new dancehall artiste Natebadz on the single Family First and longtime collaborator Chronic Law on Kick It Wid Myself.
