The Police say they are probing the mob killing of a man in Blenheim, Hanover yesterday,
The lawmen have identified the deceased as Adrian Sweeny, the reputed leader of the Dalling Street Gang in Westmoreland.
Reports are that about 9am, Sweeny and another man allegedly drove to the community, where they opened gunfire at a resident.
The man received gunshot injuries but escaped and made an alarm.
It is alleged that residents subsequently cornered Sweeny in the community and chopped him to death.
His accomplice managed to escape.
