The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) has expressed sadness following the hospitalisation of a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) supporter who lost part of her leg during a post nomination day event in St. Thomas yesterday.

The woman who sustained the injury during a motor vehicle crash in Yallahs is in serious but stable condition.

Member of Parliament for St. Thomas West, James Robertson, says he will be offering support to the woman.

In expressing sadness at the incident, PNP Councillor candidate for the Cedar Valley Division in Western St. Thomas, Sandra Anderson, says she hopes the injured woman will recover swiftly.
