As the world charts a new course towards economic recovery, due to COVID-19, Prime Minister Andrew Holness has stressed the importance of laying the foundation for a more resilient labour market.
Mr. Holness was addressing the United Nations High-Level virtual event on Jobs and Social Protection, for Poverty Eradication and a Sustainable Recovery, this morning.
The Prime Minister noted that the pandemic has highlighted challenges faced by workers in various sectors.
He said the COVID-19 pandemic also exposed the stark inequalities and gaps in social protection systems.
