Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the country will be directed on how it will transition to the new normal of living with the Covid-19.
This he says involves vaccination.
The Prime Minister has been engaging Jamaicans across the island, encouraging them to get vaccinated and there have been calls for a mandatory vaccination policy, to help the country recover from the pandemic.
Cabinet resumed face to face meetings yesterday (Mon), the first such meeting since December last year.
Mr. Holness says the decision to meet face to face, was a symbol, that though in a pandemic Jamaica must transition to living with Covid 19.
According to the Prime Minister, Jamaicans have to take the options available more seriously, which includes maintaining the protocols to curb Covid 19 spread and vaccination.
He states that Cabinet members had to indicate their vaccination status for yesterday’s meeting.
Mr. Holness says the government has to lead the country towards normalcy.
