Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced that all banned countries have been removed from the travel list.

This follows advice from health officials regarding COVID-19 infection and vaccination rates.

Mr. Holness added that adjustments have been made to the JAM-COVID application website.

This in the wake of concerns by the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association.

He stressed that Jamaica has to be strategic and careful in its opening up, so as not to put it at risk, of an uncontrolled 4th wave.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said effective Friday, October 29, the nightly curfew will begin at 8 pm and be lifted at 5 am the following day each week.

The new curfew measure will remain in effect until December 10.

Mr Holness hinted at the possibility of relaxed measures for the Christmas holidays if more people are vaccinated in November.
