Prime Minister Andrew Holness has sought to assure that Jamaica has contingencies in place to mitigate the impact of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

He was speaking today (February 24) at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Stony Hill Police Station, St. Andrew.

Mr. Holness joined other world leaders in condemning the action taken by Russia against Ukraine.

He acknowledged that the conflict could impact Jamaica through global food and oil prices, as well as the imposition of sanctions.
