PM Andrew Holness Defends $28.6M Salary, Clashes with Golding Over Pay Hike Controversy

Share

Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness defended his $28.6M salary amid criticism from Opposition Leader Mark Golding.

The increase comes after a 200% pay hike for ministers and MPs under the public sector compensation review.

Golding called the move “shameful and deceptive,” accusing Holness of backtracking on earlier statements.

Holness fired back, saying the Opposition also supports and benefits from the increase despite their criticism.
