British broadcaster Piers Morgan has apologized to Beyoncé and Jay-Z after featuring Jaguar Wright on his controversial YouTube show, Uncensored.
During the interview, Wright made several unverified claims about Beyoncé and Jay-Z, calling them a “nasty couple” and comparing them to notorious trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein. Wright also reiterated various rumours circulating on social media, further fuelling the controversy.
In his apology, Morgan said, “Jaguar Wright unexpectedly made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during that interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves. But now they have.” He added that the couple's lawyer has stated the claims are “totally false and have no basis in fact,” so he is removing the offensive comments from the programme.
