The government has revealed that partial funding for Senator Kamina Johnson Smith’s campaign, for the post of Commonwealth Secretary General, came from local private sector companies, such as Grace Kennedy and Musson Group.

Information Minister Robert Morgan, made the revelation, while responding on the Prime Minister’s behalf, to questions from the Opposition in Parliament yesterday (Tues).

These contributions amounted to 99 thousand US dollars and were paid to Public Relations entity, Fin Partners.

The Opposition members were not satisfied with the responses and called for more detailed explanations about the contributors who paid for Mrs. Johnson Smith’s campaign.

Mr. Morgan said he had no further information.
