Ahead of his scheduled court appearance in New York, Dancehall deejay Rygin King has announced the postponement of a show in Trinidad.
The deejay, who is expected to appear in a New York court on Emancipation Day, August 1, used his verified Instagram account to apologize to his fans in Trinidad.
In the video shared with his over 747k followers, Rygin King cited “circumstances beyond his control” as the reason for missing the event slated for August 10.
On July 8, Rygin King, along with his wife Ilene Parker-Smith and four others, were stopped by police in Queens, New York, while traveling in a Ford Explorer. According to reports, a loaded firearm was allegedly found in Rygin King’s possession.
