Over 300 more primary schools will be allowed to resume face to face classes, in the next phase of the process.
Some selected primary schools had resumed face-to-face classes earlier this month.
Speaking in parliament on Tuesday, Education Minister Fayval Williams stressed that the schools slated for resumption in the next phase, must use the blended approach.
She said the resumption date for the schools will be staggered, and based on discussions with parents.
Meanwhile, Mrs Williams says several secondary schools are close to achieving, or have already achieved, the Covid-19 vaccination target for their student population.
Minister Williams gave the update while addressing parliament, on Tuesday.
She said over 49,000 students have been fully vaccinated to date.
