Opposition members walked out of Parliament yesterday over delays in tabling an Integrity Commission report concerning the Firearm Licensing Authority.
The Opposition argued that the report is a matter of public interest and should be made available.
The Government maintains that the report cannot yet be tabled because the matter is before the courts and publication could affect legal proceedings.

In response, Leader of Government Business Floyd Green said Parliament has the authority to decide whether reports linked to matters before the courts should be tabled.
He rejected claims of suppression or attempts to undermine the process.

Mr. Golding accused Minister Green of misleading the House and repeated the Opposition’s demand for the report to be tabled.
When the request was not granted, Opposition members walked out of Parliament.
They later held a press briefing, reiterating their concerns about the handling of the Integrity Commission report on the Firearm Licensing Authority
