Senator Gabriela Morris, the Opposition’s Youth and Sports Spokesperson, is disappointed with the government’s lacklustre response to the situation of Jamaican students in Ukraine.
The Senator is encouraging the government to use its diplomatic ties to ensure that the students are evacuated and safely transported, even if it is late.
Senator Morris added that the Jamaican Government could have done more to get the students to safety.
The Opposition Spokesperson hopes that as the situation in Ukraine worsens, the Ministry will take notice of the students’ plight and act quickly to provide the assistance needed to get them to safety by any means necessary.
