The People’s National Party’s (PNP) Shadow Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Morais Guy, has accused the Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton, of not being truthful and forthright with the Jamaican people about the availability of the second dose Pfizer vaccine.
Dr Guy said Minister Tufton told the Jamaican people last week in a well-published statement that the Pfizer vaccine was exhausted and unavailable for the second dose.
However, the Opposition said it had received credible information that the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine was administered yesterday at the Thompson Town Health Centre.
Furthermore, the Shadow Minister said he is in possession of vaccination cards issued at the Thompson Town Health Centre, which show the batch number and expiry date of the Pfizer vaccine that was administered to individuals at the health centre.
Dr. Guy noted that yesterday, the JLP Councillor for the Thompson Town Division in the Clarendon Municipal Corporation tweeted that the second dose of Pfizer was being administered at the Thompson Town Health Centre.
