Opposition Leader Mark Golding sees no Evidence of JACDEN breaking the law

Opposition Leader Mark Golding says he has seen no evidence that JACDEN Limited broke any laws, but its head Dennis Gordon will step aside from the PAC and Shadow Cabinet pending investigations.

Golding said the move reflects the People’s National Party’s commitment to accountability amid concerns raised in an audit of University Hospital of the West Indies.

The Auditor General reported misuse of UHWI’s tax-exempt status, leading to over $20 million in unpaid duties tied to four private companies, including JACDEN.

Gordon denies wrongdoing, insisting duties were paid and dismissing calls for his resignation as politically motivated.
