Nurses to meet with Gov’t to continue salary negotiations

The Nurses Association of Jamaica NAJ says it is hoping to mete with representatives of the government next week to continue with salary negotiations.

The government has proposed a 4% wage increase to public sector workers.

At least 14 public sector bargaining units have accepted the government’s wage offer.

NAJ President Patsy Edwards-Henry says they’ve only met with the government on one occasion to discus salary and they are anticipating another meeting.
