NIS Urges Workers to Check Contribution Records Amid Employer Non-Compliance Concerns

Share

National Insurance Scheme (NIS) contributors are being urged to regularly check their contribution records to ensure employers are making the required payments.

NIS Director Portia Magnus warned that some employers remain non-compliant and encouraged workers to report any missing contributions without delay.

She said the scheme works with employers to resolve payment issues but will pursue legal action when necessary to enforce compliance.

The NIS provides a range of benefits, including retirement, invalidity, maternity and survivor pensions, for eligible contributors and their dependents.
