Female Rapper Nicki Minaj responds to BET Awards 2019 getting the lowest ratings the show has ever received.
The 2019 BET Awards ceremony became the worst-rated edition of the show in history and on Thursday, Nicki Minaj posted on Twitter what she thinks is the reason.
“When u go out of ur way to b spiteful & hurt artists who have always supported ur show. When you fire great ppl who have put their heart & soul into the show… when you’d rather be a messy reality show than a prestigious award show… when ur still being dragged by that lace.”
Remember, in February, Nicki announced on Twitter that her label ‘Young Money’ would be pulled out of BET performances after the network tweeted that Nicki was being “dragged by her lace front’ following Cardi B’s win for best Rap album at the 2019 Grammys.
According to a popular Twitter page, Music-News-Facts, the award show only received 2 million views for 2019. BET’s highest rating was in 2009 with 10.6 million views.
