American rapper Nicki Minaj continues to show major love for Jamaican culture!
This morning (February 20), the “Pink Barbie” uploaded a video to her TikTok page to show her in the studio with viral Jamaican TikToker Blam Dem, Dancehall artiste Skeng, and producer Drop-Top.
The video, which was posted to her 21 million TikTok followers, showcases BlamDem taking a selfie video with Nicki sitting cutely in the background and Skeng at the other side of the room. The video captioned: “Mi a celebrity!!!!! Nicki this, Nicki dat, Nicki MAD DEM!!! @Blamdem…”.
This link-up comes shortly after Nicki endorsed Blam Dem’s viral remix of her song, even calling it her "theme song" during a TikTok livestream. The Jamaican content creator has been making waves online with his bold personality, controversial takes, and comedic antics.
Despite his controversies, Blam Dem has connected with some of Dancehall’s rising stars, including Skeng, Jayden, and RajahWild. Now, with Nicki Minaj in the mix, fans are eager to see what this unexpected collaboration will bring.
One user commented, “Bro, why is Blam Dem in Nicki's house, I’m weak” to which the Barbz leader replied, “That’s a studio, Babe”.
