Minister of Education, Skills, Youth, and Information, Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, says the new School Safety Policy is expected to be finalised by the end of November.
The policy is being developed in collaboration with the Ministry of National Security, with support from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
It is aimed at strengthening security measures and ensuring swift action in cases of violence on school grounds.
She said the ministry is moving with urgency to ensure that schools are safe, and the School Safety Policy will be a key part of that effort.
