Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says just over 400 COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday (Mon).
This would mean a new record has been set, breaking Friday’s previous record of 328.
Cases have been on the rise since last Thursday, with the daily tally for the fifth consecutive day, being over 200.
Over the five day period, Jamaica recorded almost 1,500 new cases.
The breakdown of the new cases will be revealed in the Ministry’s official statistics, to be released this morning (Tues).
