Netflix is now testing a new feature to potentially crackdown on users sharing their passwords with family and friends.

For years, users have been able to casually share their accounts with those they trust, but all of that password and account-sharing could be coming to an end pretty soon.

It’s reported that the mega streaming platform has begun rolling out a new feature stopping those who don’t own the account they’re using to make their own. Users say they’ve seen a screen that reads, “If you don’t live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to keep watching.”

A Netflix spokesperson says, “This test is designed to help ensure that people using Netflix accounts are authorized to do so.”

Meanwhile, research firm Magid adds that a third of Netflix users have shared their passwords with others. With their basic plan at $8.99 a month for one screen (in the U.S.), their standard plan at $13.99 for two screens, and another at $17.99 for four screens.
