Netball Jamaica (NJ) has announced that it has received a draft audited financial report, a crucial step toward scheduling its long-overdue annual general meeting (AGM).
This development paves the way for long-anticipated elections, with all executive positions—including the presidency and directorships—set to be contested.
The organization last held elections in 2021, meaning the current executive has served beyond the standard term. Incumbent President Tricia Robinson, who is now in her second term, will be eligible for re-election. Karen Rosen Baugh, NJ’s director of marketing and sponsorship since 2021, expressed excitement at the progress, stating that the association is “very ecstatic” to finally be moving forward in organizing the AGM.
The upcoming elections will mark a significant moment for the sport’s governance in Jamaica, as stakeholders look ahead to renewed leadership and strategic direction.
