Nelson Piquet says his racially abusive remark about Lewis Hamilton was “ill thought out”.
This week, it was learned that Piquet had used a racial slur to refer to Hamilton on a Brazilian podcast.
However, the 69-year-old stated that he condemns any assertion that the term he used was intended to belittle a driver because of his skin tone.
