Dancehall artist Neeqah, real name ‘Shanica Allen’ says despite removing some persons from her Ms. melanin challenge, she still has plenty more contestants remaining in the challenge.
In an interview with the zee on Wednesday, Neeqah explains she had to remove 5 contestants from her melanin challenge because of the demand from the contestants’ parents due to negative comments steered to some of the contestants from some social media users.
She went on further to tell us the whole reason for the melanin challenge.
She shared with us her upcoming projects.
The melanin challenge began on February 4 to promote her single ‘Ms melanin’ featuring fellow Dancehall artist Charly Blacks and to promote black history month. The challenge is scheduled to end on February 11, 12 a.m. sharp. The 1st place winner will get 300 USD and outfits from Dirty Teez, FTF Clothing and Tru Rebel exotic wear.
