Nas has dropped his surprise album, “Magic”, his third collaboration with producer, Hit-Boy.
The American rapper announced the album early on Thursday with an Instagram post.
The 9 song project released at midnight last night (Thurs) features A$AP Rocky and DJ Premier on a track called ‘Wave Gods’.
Magic includes references to some of hip-hop’s biggest names including Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and Gang Starr. Nas also paid tribute to the late Virgil Abloh and Ol’ Dirty Bastard.
Hit-Boy and Nas have worked together before, most notably on the Grammy-winning King’s Disease I and on the record’s sequel. The pair also worked together on the single ‘Big Nas’ and ‘Life is Like a Dice Game.’
The new project follows the rapper’s Grammy-nominated album King’s Disease II which dropped earlier in 2021 as the sequel to King’s Disease.
